EPISTEMOLOGY
Now you may ask how I got this knowledge? what methods have I used ? to answer these questions I have begun this chapter. First we have to understand Epistemology . Historically there are 3 means by which man obtained knowledge. They are as follows.
1.Scientific method refers to a body of techniques for investigating phenomena, acquiring new knowledge, or correcting and integrating previous knowledge.[1] To be termed scientific, a method of inquiry must be based on gathering empirical and measurable evidence subject to specific principles of reasoning
2. rationalism is "any view appealing to reason as a source of knowledge or justification" (Lacey 286). In more technical terms, it is a method or a theory "in which the criterion of the truth is not sensory but intellectual and deductive" (
3.Religious traditions describe fundamental mystical experience. Enlightenment or Illumination are generic English terms for the phenomenon, derived from the Latin illuminatio (applied to Christian prayer in the 15th century) and adopted in English translations of Buddhist texts, but used loosely to describe the state of mystical attainment regardless of faith. 3. Mysticism ( pronunciation (help·info); from the Greek μυστικός, mystikos, an initiate of a mystery religion)[1] is the pursuit of communion with, identity with, or conscious awareness of an ultimate reality, divinity, spiritual truth, or God through direct experience, intuition, instinct or insight. Mysticism usually centers on a practice or practices intended to nurture those experiences or awareness. Mysticism may be dualistic, maintaining a distinction between the self and the divine, or may be nondualistic.
Mystic traditions form sub-currents within larger religious traditions—such as Kabbalah within Judaism, Sufism within Islam, Vedanta and Kashmir Shaivism within Hinduism, Christian mysticism (and arguably Gnosticism) within Christianity, as well as Alchemy --
MYSTICISM
I Myself is convinced that mysticism is the only way to obtain science .Here I shall discuss about what I stand as mysticism . Basically 2 ideas are discussed Buddhism and Sufism. The Buddha said a sushil (saint) person can become wise , so , after Buddhism Saint =wise -----------------------------eq-1
in Sufism it is said that Only dervishes can gain knowledge so , Sufism = Buddhism ------------------------------------------------------------eq2
As we know scientists are always saints & gentlemen and hardly businessman , Why ? now we can under stand it . Saint =Sushil = wise
we look at the lives of some modern scientists to prove our theory
a. Christian saints - Galileo ,newton ,Darwin , Mendel , Pasteur, Compton , Pauli they all were christian saints .
b.Hindu saints- Einstein ,Oppenheimer , Schrodinger ,they were follower of Vedanta and Gita . Einstein's God was that of Spinoza's but he definitely was a dervish and a medicant
c.Simply honest - Planck , Bohr ,Heisenberg ,Dirac they were Atheist but they were honest and simple men
d. this is more obvious with mathematicians Gauss , Euler , Ramanujan , Abel , Riemann , Er dosh ---- they all were ascetics and had no passion for things temporal
So we see the Equation holds true, Saint= wise
So we put formula, The law of knowledge - the laws of nature is such that if a mind posses the truth it will be able to understand the universe
Therefore Consciousness =f(truth)
