THE ORIGIN OF QUANTUM THEORY
Schrödinger intended his thought experiment as a discussion of the EPR article, named after its authors--Einstein, Podolsky, and Rosen—in 1935. The EPR article highlighted the strange nature of quantum entanglement, which is a characteristic of a quantum state that is a combination of the states of two systems (for example, two subatomic particles), that once interacted but were then separated and are not each in a definite state. The Copenhagen interpretation implies that the state of the two systems undergoes collapse into a definite state when one of the systems is measured. Schrödinger and Einstein exchanged letters about Einstein's EPR article, in the course of which Einstein pointed out that the state of an unstable keg of gunpowder will, after a while, contain a superposition of both exploded and unexploded states.
To further illustrate the putative incompleteness of quantum mechanics, Schrödinger describes how one could, in principle, transpose the superposition of an atom to large-scale systems of a live and dead cat by coupling cat and atom with the help of a diabolical mechanism. He proposed a scenario with a cat in a sealed box, wherein the cat's life or death depended on the state of a subatomic particle. According to Schrödinger, the Copenhagen interpretation implies that the cat remains both alive and dead (to the universe outside the box) until the box is opened. Schrödinger did not wish to promote the idea of dead-and-alive cats as a serious possibility; quite the reverse, the paradox is a classic reductio ad absurdum.[2] The thought experiment illustrates the bizarreness of quantum mechanics and the mathematics necessary to describe quantum states. Intended as a critique of just the Copenhagen interpretation (the prevailing orthodoxy in 1935), the Schrödinger cat thought experiment remains a typical touchstone for all interpretations of quantum mechanics. Physicists often use the way each interpretation deals with Schrödinger's cat as a way of illustrating and comparing the particular features, strengths, and weaknesses of each interpretation.
Now reader got the idea A QUANTUM CAN EXIST IN MANY PLACES AT THE SAME TIME UNTIL IT'S POSITION IS PIN POINTED
Now Einstein , Planck , Bohr ,Schrodinger, Heisenberg how they obtained the knowledge of Quantum mechanics ?To understand this lets look at Sufism
BILOCATION
Bilocation, or sometimes multilocation, is a term used to describe the ability/instances in which an individual or object is said to be, or appears to be, located in two distinct places at the same instant in time. The term has been used in a wide range of historical and philosophical systems, including early Greek philosophy, shamanism, paganism, folklore, occultism and magic, the paranormal,Hinduism (as one of the siddhis), Buddhism, spiritualism, Theosophy, theNew Age and mysticism in general, as well as Christian mysticism and Jewish mysticism.
Several Christian saints and monks are said to have exhibited bilocation. Among the earliest is the apparition of Our Lady of the Pillar in the year 40. In another instance, in 1774, St. Alphonsus Liguori is said to have gone into a trance while preparing for Mass. When he came out of the trance he reported that he had visited the bedside of the dying Pope Clement XIV. His presence is then said to have been confirmed by those attending the Pope despite his being four days travel away, and not appearing to have left his original location. Other Christian figures said to have experienced it include St. Anthony of Padua, Ursula Micaela Morata, St. Gerard Majella, Charles of Mount Argus, St. Pio of Pietrelcina,St. Severus of Ravenna, St. Ambrose of Milan, María de Ágreda, and St. Martin de Porres, as well as Pope Cyril VI of Alexandria.Tayy al-Arḍ (Arabic: طيّ الأرض "folding up of the earth") is the name for thaumaturgical teleportation in the mystical form of Islamic religious and philosophical tradition. The concept has been expressed as "traversing the earth without moving"; some have termed it "moving by the earth being displaced under one's feet". It is a concept widely familiar to the Sunnis, Shī‘īs and Sufis, each group having a different interpretation on it.
Famous Sheikhs, Imams, and prominent figures in Islam, such as Abusaeid Abolkheir or Rumi or Al-Khidr,were believed to possesskeramat, and writings from medieval Islam are full of stories and reports of certain individuals possessing such a trait. For example, Idries Shah and Robert Graves mention the case where senior members of the Azimia order were "reputed to appear, like many of the ancient Sheikhs at different places at one and the same time".[
So we can see saints ( or their consciousness ) can exist two different positions at the same time. like the Schrodinger's cat (before it's state is measured.)
Then there is a similarity between Quantum mechanics & the saints.
Schrodinger's cat & consciousness:
If we believe in adhoc basis that saints could exist in many different places at the same time- then there is a similarity between quantum super position of state and consciousness. then a question automatically arises is there a metaphysical Quantum mechanics? following is the argument,
]In my opinion the metaphysical quantum mechanics begins with recognizing that the light is a semi-physical particle.
A photon is both a physical & a metaphysical particle.
Physical properties of light - 1. according to E=mc2 light has inertia .therefore it has weight .
2.light is tangible , for this we can see
Therefore light is a matter
Metaphysical properties of light - 1. the photon is a zero mass boson , it has no rest mass, therefore it is weight less.
2. light speed is always constant , in respect to the speed of the observer . Thus light is intangible.
Therefore light is not a matter.
Par example if we have a table where physical particles are on one side and metaphysical particles are on the other side , the photon will fall in he middle. (As mercury which is both metal and non metal at the same time)
Another evidence is wave particle duality of the Quanta . They are like Newtonian particles and waves at the same time . the waves are like meta physical things, they can exist in many places simultaneously and can penetrates through potential barriers.( like ghosts can exist in many places & can go through solid walls)
What does it mean ? is there a metaphysical world beyond the sub atomic particles.
? Quantum mechanics changes into metaphysical Quantum mechanics beyond the Planck length ?
My opinion is ghost , mind , truth such such things are real and obey a metaphysical Quantum mechanics. Par example The Truth is a metaphysical Light When consciousness absorbs truth it gains energy and can exists in many points simultaneously .Saints like Alphonsus deLiguori had truth added with their consciousness ,and the consciousness jumped to higher energy level, where it had bilocation., because of double probability amplitude.
EINSTEIN ,SCHRODINGER & QUANTUM MECHANICS.-
Now back to the main question ,how Planck ,Einstein ,Bohr , Schrodinger understood Quantum mechanics?
As we have discussed earlier , Planck, Einstein ,Bohr ,Schrodinger they all were saints like St. Alphonsus , Byezid Bostami etc.So they had experiences like the saints of their consciousness being two places at the same time.
Einstein =Schrodinger = St. Alphonsus = saint =bilocation . This is how they realized that a particle can have multi-location.
E.P.R. paradox-Why Einstein refused to accept Quantum mechanics? Einstein like Schrodinger could understand that a holy man can exist in many places at the same time. Then Why ??? Einstein position was that of the Sufi's Tayy al ard which means curling up of space. Einstein thought like Sufis ,that he instead of being 2 places, the intermediate space between the 2 points got curled up.
A----------------------------------------------------------------------------------B
suppose A & B are 2 positions of the same person simultaneously, but Einstein thought that the person should not have 2 positions instead the space will curl up under the feet of the person
AB
A&B will have same position simultaneously.
This why Einstein rejected Quantum mechanics and supported curved space geometry. This way Quantum super position of states precedes the knowledge of technical Quantum theory .Planck , Einstein , Bohr ,Schrodinger knew the problem of Quantum super position before they develop[ed the quantum theory
CONCLUSION
We have discussed the epistemological origin of Relativity, Darwinism ,Quantum mechanics based on the Sufism & have shown that scietific knowledge has come from an transcendental source. Therefore mysticism has scientific basis.
